Beijing University of Technology was founded in 1960. It is a key university under the administration of the Beijing municipal government, which has established a multi-disciplinary academic structure. The structure offers various programs and also involves in diversified academic research in the fields of science, engineering, economics, management, liberal arts and law. It is ranked as one of the 100 key universities for the 21st century. 北京工業大學校本部位于北京市朝陽區平樂園100號，東臨東四環南路，南抵左安東路，西鄰西大望路，北望平樂園小區；另有三地分校區。學校占地面積為80余萬平方米，建筑面積近70萬平方米。

北京工業大學對外漢語教學的教學對象是母語為非漢語的外國人和海外華人華僑。教學以提高學生漢語語言能力和漢語交際能力為主要目標，對外漢語教研室開設從半年到三年期間內的非學歷教育的漢語長期進修課程，也開設短期漢語文化進修課程。其性質屬于第二語言教學。 

Course for International Students

Long-term chinese language course

Excellent goal-oriented educational language programs are offered in this university. All teachers have excellent academic backgrounds and a wealth of teaching experience. We maximize the use of our campus and the city of Beijing as a natural environment for language development in order to efficiently improve our students’ abilities to listen, speak, read, and write Chinese. Students will take a placement exam on the first day of each semester and are arrange into different classes accordingly. There are 10-20 students in each class.

Short-term chinese language program
Duration: one month (4 weeks) or above 
Core module: Spoken Chinese 
Levels: elementary; intermediate; advanced 
Teaching hours/week: 20 hours 
Elective modules: Tai Chi, Chinese calligraphy 
Syllabus and course duration may specially designed for groups.

1st March—15th July (September intake for abroad applications)
1st September –15th January (February intake for applications)
For local applications, the application deadlines may extend to 31st, July and 31st, Jan. respectively.

Remarks: Only for those who wish to study for more than one year are required to submit Medical check report. The original physical record, X-ray results, and other original documents should be included. If they fail in preparing this document at their home countries, they may have the medical check in China upon their arrival.

Application materials must be submitted to the international student office of the university through either email or post.
